My name is Lindsay. I've been fascinated by the natural world since I can remember. My curiosity about complex systems led me to earn a Ph.D. in Quantitative Biology and spend over a decade applying data science across disciplines, from deep-sea coral reef research to financial services to political campaigns.
I'm a scientist, and the name "Ionized Data" is a throwback to my roots. The process of ionization strips molecules down to their fundamental components. Ecology examines how individual species and interactions build ecosystems. This parts-centric approach- breaking complex problems into analyzable elements- has become my data science philosophy.
When I approach a problem, I start by understanding the core components: What data do we have? What questions are we answering? What steps can we take to build the solution?
As in nature, the most elegant solutions often come from understanding the fundamentals first.
